​The following trips are held on a regular basis and are open to all members and their families. 

They are made up of a variety of camping and/or lodges, on both public and private land. Whether you are a hunter, hiker, avid bush enthusiast or a cyclist, these trips have something in store for any lover of the great outdoors.

October 2026

Panekiri Docking - Wednesday 30th September (4-5 days)
This is a Club Fundraising Event where we help on the station to dock approximately 6,500 lambs.  Only one crew of 12-15 people will be needed this year.

• Accommodation is in the Shearers Quarters which have excellent facilities
• All food is provided by the Club
• No prior experience is needed

There will also be an opportunity for hunting – Red Deer and Pigs – after work.

• Hunting - Red Deer and Pigs
• Biking – feel free to bring the mountain bike along and ride the local trails

Lodge sleeps up to 40 people with hot showers and excellent facilities.

February 2027

​Stewart Island - Upper Lords River

• Hunting – Whitetail Deer
• Fishing (this is not a coastal block)
• Hunters Hut sleeps 6 people maximum 
• Bookings are essential and are on a first come/first served basis
• Payment is required in advance

Matariki weekend - 24-27 June 2027

• Hunting – Sika Deer predominantly but also Red Deer and Pigs
• Biking – feel free to bring the mountain bike along and ride the local trails​
• Tramping
• Relaxing
• Families welcome

Sika Lodge sleeps up to 30 people and has fantastic accommodation. All amenities are provided, just a sleeping bag is needed.
Price per night is currently (2026) $40.00pp
